Position Summary:KSA is seeking aJunior Analystto support data-driven planning, reporting, and situational awareness activities within FEMA’s Planning and Exercise Division (PED) under the PEDTAC contract. This entry-level role will assist in organizing, analyzing, and visualizing data to inform strategic and operational decision-making across planning, exercises, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
+ Support development and maintenance of FEMA dashboards, databases, and reports, includingPower BI, Tableau, and SharePoint tools.
+ Conduct basic data analysis, quality checks, and metadata maintenance in coordination with senior data and planning teams.
+ Assist in compiling datasets, preparing visual summaries, and supporting the creation of deliverables such asplanning tools, dashboards, and decision support documents.
+ Participate in the organization of data catalogs and templates used in FEMA’s Planning Decision Support Catalog (PDSC).
+ Coordinate with planners, GIS specialists, and technical writers to ensure accurate integration of data into planning documents.
+ Support meeting logistics, stakeholder documentation, and analytical inputs for exercises or planning workshops.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or related field.
+ 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, public sector planning support, or emergency management programs.
+ Familiarity withdata visualization toolssuch as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
+ Proficiency inMicrosoft Office Suiteand SharePoint.
+ Ability to analyze and summarize complex datasets for planning or reporting use.
+ U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain FEMA and/or DHS suitability.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience using SQL or querying relational databases.
+ Exposure to emergency management, continuity, or planning doctrine (e.g., CPG 101, NRF, NDRF).
+ Familiarity with FEMA systems, tools, or analytics environments.
+ Experience working in a federal or DHS operational support context.
