    Who we’re looking for

     

    Toyota’s Performance Analysis and Evaluation Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated **Chassis Strength Technician.**

     

    The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct on-vehicle chassis strength evaluations.

     

    Reporting to a Technician Supervisor, the person in this role will support the Performance Analysis and Evaluation department's objective’s to safely, accurately collect & report data to support vehicle development for North American Customers.

    What you’ll be doing

    + Support evaluation planning, vehicle component retrofit, and vehicle on-road and off-road evaluations.

    + Install various strain gauges, load cells, and accelerometers.

    + Set up data acquisition, record, and analyze data.

    + Conducting vehicle input load measurements on designated test courses.

    + Confirm accuracy of data collected during evaluation process.

    + Strongly support Toyota Safety processes, kaizen, and 5S.

    What you bring

    + Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Automotive Engineering Technology or similar; and/or at least 2+ years' of relevant automotive evaluation experience.

    + Demonstrated acquisition systems and sensor integration.

    + Experience replacing and retrofitting vehicle suspension components.

    + Proven experience in conducting fatigue evaluations.

    + Knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

    + This position requires driving.  A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position.

    + Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.

    + Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.

    + Willingness to work up to 10 hours of overtime or as needed.

    Added bonus if you have
