    32-36 HR flex, 8 -10 hours daily, scheduled; varied hours/shifts according to operational needs. May be required to pick up additional shift for time-sensitive testing.

    Job Description:

    **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** : ​

    + Maintain operation of PFT lab, including performance of pulmonary function testing on patients, appropriate scheduling and registration of outpatients/inpatients referred for testing.

    + Maintain standard operating procedures to ensure effective record keeping processes.

    + Perform efficient/effective quality control/compliance. Adherence to all applicable regulatory agencies: Joint Commission of Allied Health Organization requirements and American Thoracic Society standards.

    + Maintain effective communication tools with physician's offices in order to efficiently receive referrals and process PFT reporting.

    + Understanding of PFT equipment/computer operation, calibration, and trouble-shooting problems that may arise.

    + Understand appropriateness of test values, statistical methodology and assessment of validity/reliability of test results.

    Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required

    + Previous experience performing pulmonary function testing.

    + National Board of Respiratory Care Certification/Registration in Pulmonary Function Testing (CPFT or RPFT) or obtained within 12 months of hire.

    + Experience with computer systems including Microsoft Office Work, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point.

    Education Required

    + Graduate of A.M.A. approved certification program for Respiratory Therapy.

    + Two-year program with an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care.

    Registration/Certifications

    + Massachusetts License

    + National Board Certification. CRT or RRT.
