Ink Lab Quality Technician – Where Chemistry Meets Creativity
Position Summary:
Step into a hands-on role where science and precision drive product excellence. As an Ink Lab Quality Technician, you'll be the gatekeeper of quality—testing, analyzing, and fine-tuning ink formulations to ensure every batch meets our high standards. From raw materials to finished products, your keen eye and chemical insight will help shape the vibrant colors that bring our products to life.
What You’ll Be Doing:
+ Test & Analyze: Collect samples and perform physical and chemical tests to detect imperfections and ensure quality.
+ Raw Material Management: Assign lot numbers, evaluate shelf life, re-qualify materials, and handle proper disposal.
+ Inventory Oversight: Maintain retain samples and dispose of inks according to safety and quality protocols.
+ Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve issues with out-of-spec inks—whether in-process or returned.
+ Approval Authority: Greenlight ink batches and raw materials after successful testing.
+ Data Entry & Tracking: Record QC specs using Process Pro and Excel; collaborate with purchasing to receive materials.
+ ️ Lab Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain lab equipment and manage supply inventory.
+ Small Batch Creation: Mix small ink batches for testing and development.
Tools You’ll Master:
+ Surface tensiometer, microscope, viscometer, spectrophotometer
+ FTIR, refractive index meter, colorimeter, conductivity meter
+ UV/LED/E-beam curing systems, analytical balances, pipettes
What You Bring:
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Strong understanding of chemical interactions and their impact on ink properties
+ ️ Clear written communication for documenting sample activities
+ Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams for problem-solving
+ Basic math skills and comfort with conversion formulas
+ Troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail
+ Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience Level:
Entry-level, but ideal for someone passionate about chemistry, quality control, and hands-on lab work.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
