Job Description
This role involves completing fluid bed spray drying operations within a sophisticated multi-story process. The operator will play a key role in transforming raw materials into finished products while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
+ Operate fluid bed spray drying equipment across five floors, ensuring proper product dispensing, dispersal, and drying.
+ Inspect and clean chambers, filters, and vacuum areas as part of the drying process.
+ Conduct monthly changeovers, which include thorough cleaning of equipment.
+ Monitor and adjust process performance to optimize production.
+ Communicate effectively with staff to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency are upheld.
+ Work under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with GMP, SOP, and production in a chemical or cleanroom environment.
+ Proficiency in food industry operations as a compounder, operator, or technician.
+ Strong numerical skills for weighing and mixing products.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma required.
+ 1-3+ years of work experience in a GMP manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
Work Environment
The work environment includes shifts in a cleanroom-like manufacturing setting. The available shifts are: 2nd shift from 2:00-10:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, with a $1/hr shift differential, and 3rd shift from 10:00 p.m.-6:30 a.m. Sunday to Thursday, with a $2/hr shift differential. The facility offers an open office space, a lab area, and upcoming expansion opportunities. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401K, along with a PTO accrual system starting at 80 hours in the first year.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
