Drafter – Metal Panel Systems

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-driven Revit Drafter with a strong experience in architectural drafting and metal panel systems. This position plays a pivotal role in translating architectural concepts into precise, buildable shop drawings that align with project specifications, fabrication standards, and construction timelines.

Key Responsibilities

+ Interpret architectural and structural drawings to produce detailed shop drawings for metal wall and roof panel systems.

+ Develop comprehensive drawing sets including layout plans, elevations, sections, attachment details, and fabrication drawings.

+ Coordinate panel layouts with structural and architectural elements to ensure alignment, fit, and constructability.

+ Generate panel schedules, material take-offs, and fabrication lists to support procurement and production workflows.

+ Apply expertise in metal panel systems such as ACM, insulated metal panels, and single-skin systems.

+ Conduct quality checks on peer drawings and BOMs to identify and resolve discrepancies before fabrication.

+ Incorporate redline corrections from clients and internal stakeholders with precision and clarity.

+ Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and support panel analysis.

+ Assist in developing standard product details, installation manuals, and technical documentation.

+ Support sales and customer service teams with technical drawings and project-specific inquiries.

+ Prepare submittal packages and manage revisions throughout the project lifecycle.

+ Handle multiple drafting projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

+ Associate’s degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field is highly preferred.

+ Proficiency in Revit is required; experience with AutoCAD and BIM tools is a plus.

+ Demonstrated experience in architectural drafting, particularly with metal panel systems.

+ Familiarity with construction documents, fabrication processes, and installation practices.

+ Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings with a high degree of accuracy.

+ Experience with BOM creation and material take-offs.

+ Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines and with clients.

+ Experience with at least one of the following systems: Insulated Metal Panels, ACM, or Single-Skin.

Work Environment

This role is based in our Deland office, where you’ll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment using advanced CAD and BIM tools. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality drafting solutions that drive project success.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
