    Job Title: Construction Project EngineerJob Description

     

    We are seeking a Project Engineer to support Project Managers in the successful execution of construction projects. This office-based position emphasizes the financial and administrative aspects of project management, encompassing a diverse range of projects such as water treatment facilities, industrial developments with pre-engineered metal buildings, and various local projects in Central Indiana. Some travel is required.

    Responsibilities

    + Support Project Managers with financial tracking, budgeting, and forecasting for multiple projects.

    + Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders.

    + Assist in contract administration and ensure compliance with project requirements.

    + Coordinate procurement activities, including vendor communication and purchase order tracking.

    + Generate and maintain project documentation, including cost reports and progress updates.

    + Utilize project management and ERP software (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint) for documentation and reporting.

    + Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

    + Analyze project data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.

    + 1 year or less of experience in Commercial construction (water/wastewater or K12 experience is beneficial).

    + 1 year or less of experience with a General contractor.

    + 1 year or less of experience with Construction software.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with water and wastewater projects.

    + Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings.

    + Experience in K12 or higher education construction.

    + Familiarity with Procore and institutional construction.

    Work Environment

    This role is office-based, requiring five days per week in the office, with a typical workweek of 40-45 hours. Employees who travel over 60 miles are reimbursed at $0.67 per mile. The position offers opportunities for growth, including the potential to manage one's projects as an Assistant Project Manager (APM).

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $78000.00 - $82500.00/hr.
