    We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician with a passion for laboratory work. Previous lab experience, including academic settings, is advantageous. An ideal candidate would possess a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or Medical Laboratory Sciences, although current college students may be considered. This role involves working in a laboratory setting to prepare test solutions and set up experiments using various machines and analyzers.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare test solutions using water, plasma, or blood.

    + Set up and conduct laboratory experiments using a range of equipment such as spectrophotometers, chemistry analyzers, benchtop pumps, and pH meters.

    + Perform extractions and sample analyses.

    + Properly document work and results in accordance with GDPs and SOPs.

    + Handle exposure to human and/or bovine plasma, blood products, and other biohazardous reagents/materials.

    Essential Skills

    + Previous laboratory experience (academic lab experience is acceptable).

    + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or Medical Laboratory Sciences (current students may also be considered).

    + Basic understanding of Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with laboratory equipment such as spectrophotometers, chemistry analyzers, benchtop pumps, and pH meters.

    + Preferred understanding of GDPs and SOPs.

    Work Environment

    The position offers a structured work schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, during training. Post-training, the schedule shifts to 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with a 15% shift differential. The role involves working in a laboratory environment with exposure to biohazardous materials, requiring adherence to safety protocols.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
