We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Engineer to join our team in Alpharetta, GA. This role is pivotal in performing engineering design and technical analysis activities, with a primary focus on hydraulic engineering. The position may be filled at the Associate, Staff, or Senior level, depending on the expertise within the talent pool. The Hydraulic Engineer will engage in various engineering design and technical analysis tasks, applying knowledge of hydraulic engineering analysis/design, standards, material specifications, pipeline equipment, system operations, regulatory requirements, procedures, and safe work practices.
Responsibilities
+ Identify and implement modern modeling approaches for pipeline simulations.
+ Act as a technical liaison between departments, facilitating collaboration between engineering, operations, maintenance, and regulatory compliance teams.
+ Analyze existing systems to identify strengths, weaknesses, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement for system optimization.
+ Ensure health and safety standards are met, recognizing and addressing potential hazards within different environments throughout the pipeline system.
+ Design and analyze hydraulic systems, such as pipelines, pumps, and valves, to ensure efficient fluid flow and pressure management.
+ Use computer models and simulations to predict how fluids will behave under different conditions and to optimize system performance.
+ Oversee the maintenance and repair of hydraulic systems to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
+ Identify and troubleshoot issues within hydraulic systems, such as leaks, blockages, or inefficiencies.
+ Ensure that hydraulic systems comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
Essential Skills
+ 2-5 years of Hydraulic Engineering experience.
+ Proficiency with pipeline simulation modeling software, such as AFT Fathom.
+ Proficiency in fluid mechanics.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil disciplines, or other related engineering fields from an accredited college or university.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with refined petroleum products pipeline hydraulic modeling.
+ Experience in the oil and gas industry hydraulic modeling.
+ Knowledge of fluid mechanics, fluid properties, thermodynamics, and pipeline modeling and simulations.
+ Experience with industry transient simulation software such as Synergi Pipeline Simulator (SPS) or AFT Impulse.
+ Experience in DRA modeling, thermal analysis, and the ability to implement these modeling techniques for pipeline design and optimization.
+ Experience with C++ programming language for maintaining in-house legacy software.
+ Ability to write scripts for automation and develop models and software tools beneficial to the hydraulic engineering team.

Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work environment with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. The office is located in Alpharetta, GA. The role primarily involves desk work, with 90% of the tasks being desk-based. The company uses Synergi Pipeline Simulator (SPS) extensively for modeling. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $122000.00/yr.
