    Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

    We’re excited to welcome a passionate and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to our growing MEP team in the heart of RTP. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering innovative electrical systems for high-impact institutional, commercial, and industrial projects.     What You’ll Do:

    + Lead electrical design efforts for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecom systems within multi-discipline project teams.

    + Provide technical evaluations and design services for a variety of facility types.

    + Conduct assessments of electrical equipment and control systems, and prepare design computations.

    + Ensure designs are completed on time and within budget.

    + Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality solutions.

    + Stay current with local, state, and federal design standards and regulations.

    + Support business development by identifying new opportunities and contributing to proposals.

    What You Bring:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

    + NC Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain via reciprocity.

    + 8+ years of experience in electrical design for buildings and facilities.

    + Strong technical skills and a passion for innovation.

    + Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

    + Proficiency in CAD and Revit for electrical design documentation.

    + Familiarity with NEC, NESC, IEEE standards and interdisciplinary MEP coordination.

    Bonus Skills:

    + Experience with financial metrics and data analytics in engineering.

    + Creative problem-solving and presentation skills.

    + Interest in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team development.

    Work Environment:

    You’ll begin with 3–6 months of on-site collaboration in our Durham office to immerse yourself in our team and projects. Afterward, flexible hybrid options are available. Our office culture is supportive, innovative, and focused on delivering excellence through teamwork.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
