Description

• Create Clay Models and develop surfaces by hand for design evaluation by Designers and Engineers following verbal instructions and drawings. • Cut, bond, and weld metals, plastics, foams and woods to create parts for armatures and Clay Models. • Fabricate Color and Materials presentation models from wood, plastics and metals. • Perform general shop maintenance, organize tools, clean all shops and related equipment, clean studio and related equipment, crate and uncrate models, operate forklift to load and unload trucks, move materials and organize studio and shops as well as design and color and trim areas. • Select and coordinate some outside vendors for purchasing materials and servicing equipment. • Program and operate portable milling machines • Cutterpath development • Fixture and armature CAD development (evolutionary revisions as required) • Perform routine maintenance on milling machines, tooling and dust collector • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and operation problems

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must have 5+ years of experience • Expert knowledge of model making techniques, tools, materials, and equipment • Some knowledge and experience using PowerMill software and portable clay milling machines • Proficient in time management, multi-tasking, collaboration and communication, both written and oral • User knowledge of and proficiency with computers, and general software such as Microsoft Office and email • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $65.00/hr.
