    Quality Assurance Technician (2nd Shift)

     

    We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to ensure that production suites are operational and meet all local and federal food/supplement safety regulations. This role involves performing cleaning validations, in-process checks, and product sampling across different shifts. You will also act as a facilitator in areas such as Quality Control techniques and Good Manufacturing Practices, while collaborating with various departments to enhance quality standards. The 2nd shift hours are (3:30pm - 12am).

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure facility and products comply with all local and federal food/supplement safety regulations.

    + Facilitate and coach on Quality Control techniques, Good Manufacturing Practices, and product quality.

    + Analyze raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products to assure compliance to specifications.

    + Perform cleaning validations and line clearance using ATP technologies.

    + Assist with quality team audits including Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP.

    + Record and evaluate test data, alerting the Quality department of any deviations from specifications.

    + Assist in data collection and analysis for ongoing quality improvements.

    + Collaborate with plant operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering to monitor programs and systems.

    + Develop, write, review, and train on Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.

    + Build a strong food safety culture and ensure pre-requisite programs are effective.

    + Perform document control activities including issuing master manufacturing records and reviewing batch records.

    + Review and approve lab analysis reports for raw materials and finished goods.

    + Follow and enforce all company GMPs and SOPs.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum 2 years as a quality inspector or technician in a manufacturing environment.

    + 1 year of experience in food manufacturing.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Outlook.

    + Good documentation practices with attention to detail.

    + Understanding of GMP/regulatory requirements, preferably in food manufacturing.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Open to entry-level college graduates in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or Microbiology.

    + Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.

    + Effective communication and report writing skills.

    + Strong analytical experience and ability to learn new technologies.

    + Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply them practically.

    + Physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform standing jobs for full shifts.

    + Ability to differentiate subtle variances in color and wear a respirator.

    + Valid US driver's license.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
