PCB Designer – Aerospace & Space Systems
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented PCB Designer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing space-grade printed circuit boards (PCBs) using Altium Designer. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—including electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers—to deliver high-reliability designs that meet rigorous aerospace and defense standards.
Key Responsibilities
+ Design complex, multilayer PCBs using Altium Designer, including schematic capture, layout, and library management.
+ Translate electrical schematics into manufacturable PCB layouts in collaboration with electrical engineers.
+ Ensure compliance with IPC standards, signal integrity, EMI/EMC requirements, and thermal management best practices.
+ Generate complete fabrication and assembly documentation (Gerbers, BOMs, pick-and-place files).
+ Conduct Design Rule Checks (DRC) and Electrical Rule Checks (ERC) to ensure design integrity.
+ Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting of PCB assemblies.
+ Interface with contract manufacturers to resolve DFM/DFT issues and ensure smooth production.
+ Maintain and update PCB libraries and design documentation for traceability and reuse.
Required Skills & Experience
+ 5+ years of professional experience
+ Proficiency in PCB design with Altium Designer.
+ Strong understanding of EMI/EMC, impedance control, and high-speed digital design.
+ Experience with aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability industries is highly preferred.
+ Familiarity with IPC standards and aerospace-grade design practices.
+ Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Education
+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
