This position provides a crucial link to the hospital and prepares families for childbirth, their hospital stay, and early postpartum period in our family-centered care environment before they transition home. Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree or coursework in nursing, education, health care, health management or labor support

+ Certification as a childbirth educator, or willingness to become certified within the first year of hire

+ Experience in Postpartum or Labor and Delivery

+ Educational preparation in principles and theory of adult education.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience with technology.

+ Ability to work effectively in a team and group setting.

+ Teaching with organizational principles in mind and with an understanding of hospital policies and procedures.

+ Able to incorporate different methods of learning into groups, including the use of all types of audio-visual equipment.

+ Remains current with all learning applications, evaluations, and meetings throughout the year.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ RN License and/or experience in obstetrics, labor and delivery and postpartum

+ Experience in Labor Support or as a Doula
