Job Title: CNC Machinist and Programmer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist and Programmer with a minimum of five years of experience in the proper setup and operation of CNC machinery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in setting up and operating CNC Mills, lathes, and vertical milling machines. Experience with HAAS and Okuma machines is advantageous. A strong ability to use precision measuring tools, cutting tools, boring bars, and fixtures is required. The candidate should be comfortable working from blueprints, rough sketches, and customer samples in a fast-paced environment.
**Pay:** Up to $31hr.
**Shift:** 1st and 2nd shift.
**Location:** Columbia, TN
Responsibilities
+ Set up and operate CNC machinery including mills and lathes.
+ Program, adjust, and operate CNC machines to produce mechanical parts according to customer drawings and specifications.
+ Study work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and materials specifications to plan machining processes.
+ Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) for machining tasks.
+ Program one-off parts and small to medium runs using CAD, CAM, and other software programs.
+ Set up HAAS milling and lathe machines.
+ Operate inspection gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other quality control instrumentation.
+ Maintain CNC mills and other machines using preventative maintenance methods.
+ Evaluate machine, cutting tool, and software technologies to improve knowledge and cycle times.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum five years of experience with CNC machinery setup and operation.
+ Proficiency in operating HAAS and Okuma machines.
+ Ability to work from blueprints and rough sketches.
+ Experience with precision measuring tools and fixtures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with programming software.
+ CMM experience is a plus.
+ Experience in using CAD and CAM software.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a machine shop environment that is not climate-controlled, experiencing both hot and cold conditions. Company uniforms are provided along with a laundry service. Day and night shifts are available, with opportunities for weekends and overtime. The day shift operates Monday through Friday for 8-hour shifts starting at 6:30 am, while the night shift runs Monday through Thursday for 10-hour shifts starting at 3:00 pm. Work is conducted in person.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
