Shipping and Receiving Clerk - Chula Vista - 1st Shift - $18/hr-$22/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a versatile shipping and receiving clerk for our newly established location in Chula Vista. The ideal candidate will be a team player, ready to take on various responsibilities primarily within the warehouse section of our shop.

Responsibilities

+ Read and interpret work orders and pick lists.

+ Pull orders based on items listed on the pick list.

+ Process order paperwork and enter data into the computer system.

+ Inspect and clean manufactured parts before packaging.

+ Package, box, and label orders accurately.

+ Organize workstation and packages efficiently.

+ Track and manage inventory of products on hand.

+ Assist in shop cleanliness and organization.

+ Help move equipment in and out of the shop.

+ Potential training to operate a forklift.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in order selection, packing, inventory management.

+ Proficiency in shipping and receiving procedures.

+ Familiarity with ERP systems and data entry.

+ Knowledge of RF scanners and material handling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Strong attention to detail, particularly with expensive aerospace parts.

+ Ability to stand for extended periods.

+ Capability to lift heavy items (50+ lbs).

+ Reliability and strong attendance record.

Work Environment

Work in a machine shop environment with 10-12 CNC machines. The facility is open-air, without air conditioning, which may result in warmer temperatures during the summer months.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
