Job Title: Production Lead

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced 2nd shift Team Lead to oversee our manufacturing operations from **4:00pm to 2:55am, Monday through Thursday** . This position would **pay $25.00 per hour** starting.

The Manufacturing Team Leader will coordinate the safe, efficient, and quality production of products, providing daily direction and training to both full-time and temporary employees. As a working lead, you will collaborate with the Production Manager to meet goals related to quality, safety, schedule adherence, operational efficiency, and production transaction accuracy.

Responsibilities

+ Coordinate daily activities of assigned production team in the batching or filling/packaging areas.

+ Provide daily direction and training to area employees.

+ Communicate daily production schedule and delegate work as needed.

+ Fill in as needed to complete production schedule.

+ Ensure work order compliance and accurate Syspro transactions.

+ Train new employees on batching or filling/packaging equipment operation.

+ Manage Operating Equipment Efficiency (OEE) performance of production lines.

+ Coordinate quick and efficient line changeovers to maximize uptime.

+ Collect key performance metrics, analyze results, and recommend process improvements.

+ Lead safety awareness and compliance by enforcing OSHA regulations and company policies.

+ Recommend improvements to enhance safety awareness.

+ Ensure adherence to customer and plant quality specifications.

+ Direct daily housekeeping efforts in the area.

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years previous manufacturing experience

+ Strong communication and training skills

+ Intermediate to advanced skills in equipment setup and process execution

+ Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

+ Proven problem-solving skills

+ Team Lead experience strongly preferred

+ Forklift certified (or eligible)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Advanced resolution skills in manufacturing operations

+ Capability to address and direct team during schedule changes

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gurnee, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
