Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining all industrial equipment, performing preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring the continuous operation of converting equipment and lines. The role involves participating in manufacturing process improvement initiatives, performing repairs, and implementing technical solutions. Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters is required.
Responsibilities
+ Perform maintenance on all industrial equipment.
+ Execute preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
+ Ensure continuous operation of converting equipment and lines.
+ Participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
+ Perform repairs and implement technical solutions.
+ Use precision measuring equipment effectively.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, conveyor maintenance, and motors.
+ At least 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and 3 phase motors.
+ Competence in changeovers, setups, fillers, pumps, and valves.
+ Troubleshooting, mechanical repair, preventive maintenance, and electrical skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ Preferably 3+ years of experience working in a GMP environment.
+ Computer proficiency in MS Office.
+ Minimum 5 years related manufacturing experience in an FDA facility preferred.
+ Experience in a non-FDA facility preferred with at least 3 years experience.
+ Expereince in GMP or food manufacturing is advantageous.

Work Environment
The facility operates around the clock, five days a week, with nationwide distribution occurring seven days a week. It is a liquid filling facility, preferring candidates with backgrounds in liquid filling or packaging. Experience in the food and beverage industry is beneficial due to FDA regulations. Note that the facility may have strong odors depending on the department, such as mouthwash, lotion, or alcohol.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $29.50/hr.
