    Job Title: Dryer Operator

    Job Description

    Join our team in the Food Drying Department, where you will play a pivotal role in the drying and packaging of bulk Food Grade Ferrous Sulfate. As a Dryer Operator, you will be tasked with meeting daily production needs, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring proper housekeeping in production areas.

    Responsibilities

    + Dry and package bulk Food Grade Ferrous Sulfate following Work Instructions and SOPs.

    + Meet daily production levels as determined by management.

    + Maintain proper stock rotation of FG approved Moist Ferrous Sulfate.

    + Move material using a skid steer and a forklift.

    + Complete Work Orders and Production Records accurately.

    + Sample product for Quality Control testing.

    + Perform shift change cleaning requirements.

    + Operate and adjust machinery to run damp material through the dryer machine.

    + Transfer dry material to storage bins.

    Essential Skills

    + Sit down forklift experience.

    + Previous experience operating machinery and making adjustments.

    + Ability to consistently lift 55 pounds.

    + Experience in food production and dryer operation.

    + Understanding of food manufacturing processes, GMP, and cGMP.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience working in the Food and Beverage industry.

    + Machine troubleshooting experience.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a gritty and dusty shop floor, where the smell of iron salt permeates the air. While the material is not hazardous to health, you may wear an N95 mask or scarf for comfort. Despite the challenging conditions, the environment fosters teamwork and dedication to achieving production goals.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
