Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions using appropriate tools and techniques. You will repair or replace defective components, such as motors, belts, gears, or electrical wiring, and maintain documentation for existing and new equipment. Additionally, you will keep up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacement of parts, while providing assistance to mechanical installations.
Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using appropriate tools and techniques.
+ Repair or replace defective components, such as motors, belts, gears, or electrical wiring.
+ Maintain documentation for existing and new equipment.
+ Keep up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacement of parts.
+ Provide assistance to mechanical installations as directed.
+ Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, electrical/mechanical problems on machinery.
+ Interface with equipment operators and maintenance staff to ascertain problems with equipment.
+ Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to determine problems and make appropriate repairs.
+ Install and service a variety of systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, communications, and process control systems.
+ Support continuous improvement engineer(s) and production departments by suggesting ways to improve the reliability and/or productivity of the equipment.
+ Adhere to all safety standards and wear all necessary personal protective equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
+ Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and understanding ladder logic.
+ Ability to troubleshoot 24v-120v electronic systems and up to 480v electrical systems.
+ Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
+ Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, gears, shafts, and welding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
+ Capability to interface with equipment operators and maintenance staff effectively.
+ Ability to support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting productivity enhancements.

The work environment is industrial, with shifts available on the 1st shift (2-2-3 schedule)
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newnan, Georgia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
