    Job Description

    The Maintenance Technician will assist in the construction and repair of mobile office trailers. Responsibilities include installing furniture, electrical components, and conducting basic patching and painting, with a primary focus on trailer repair.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist in constructing and repairing mobile office trailers.

    + Install furniture and electrical components.

    + Conduct basic patching and painting.

    + Perform light plumbing, drywall, and carpentry work.

    + Utilize hand tools and power tools for construction and repair tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Construction experience including light plumbing, electrical work, drywall, and carpentry.

    + Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

    + Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

    + Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, salespeople, contractors, and shop personnel.

    + Basic computer knowledge.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School diploma or GED.

    + Valid driver's license with a clean record.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This role primarily involves outdoor work, facing hot summers and cold winters. The environment is fast-paced, with multiple large projects spanning 30 to 60 days. Typical working hours are from 6:30 AM to 3 PM, with winter hours beginning at 7 AM and summer hours starting at 6 AM. The position requires wearing 6-inch steel toe lace-up boots and jeans, with Personal Protective Equipment provided.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bakersfield, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
