Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling metal products partially or completely, either at a bench or on the shop floor. You will work on a new product line for cloud cooling systems, which are large units ranging from 6 to 14 feet tall. These units house all the wiring and fans necessary to cool cloud systems for various companies. The role requires proficiency in using hand tools, reading work instructions, and following verbal instructions.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble metal products, ensuring quality and attention to detail.
+ Work with various types of cooling units, understanding their specific assembly requirements.
+ Utilize hand tools and measuring tape effectively.
+ Prepare units for shipment, including cleaning, insulating, and wrapping.
+ Ensure all parts are accounted for and weigh the product.
+ Maintain a safe working environment, being aware of heights and tight spaces.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to read a tape measure to 1/8th inch.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
+ Experience with SAP/Access portal and work order processes.
+ Capability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
+ Good communication skills to follow verbal instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Carpentry skills and familiarity with assembly line processes.
+ Experience with mechanical assembly and inspection.

Work Environment
The work environment is a manufacturing machine and assembly shop that is very clean but not climate controlled. You will use hand tools daily, including wrenches, rivet guns, drills, and more. PPE requirements include steel-toed shoes, eye protection, long pants, and a T-shirt, with eye protection provided if needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
