Job Title: Cherry Picker Operator

Job Description

As a Cherry Picker Operator, you will be responsible for operating order selectors and pulling orders for an electrical wiring distributor. You will maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state, follow all company safety procedures, operate all warehouse equipment, and perform daily safety inspections prior to first use. You will also receive incoming materials in accordance with WMS processes, accurately identify and break down the material, note discrepancies, and prepare orders for shipping. Additionally, you will accurately select, check, and pack UPS orders following designated WMS processes for packing, weighing, manifesting, palletizing, and loading.

Responsibilities

+ Operate cherry pickers and order selectors to pull orders for an electrical wiring distributor.

+ Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state and follow all company safety procedures.

+ Operate all warehouse equipment and perform daily safety inspections.

+ Receive incoming materials, accurately identify and break down the material, note discrepancies, and prepare orders for shipping.

+ Select, check, and pack UPS orders following designated WMS processes.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with picking and using RF scanners.

+ Proficiency in order picking and material handling.

+ Ability to perform packaging and staging orders.

+ Inventory control and paper processing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Understanding of material handling, packaging, and staging orders per order tickets.

Work Environment

You will work in a traditional warehouse environment, with possible exposure to heat or cold due to seasonal changes. Safety shoes are required, and safety goggles and gloves may be necessary. The role involves the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, walk and move freely, and use material handling equipment. The current positions are available on both 2nd shift (12 p.m. - 9 p.m.) and 1st shift (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.), Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of RICHMOND, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
