    Job Title: Machine Shop Supervisor

    Job Description

    This role involves a balance of desk and paperwork responsibilities, reporting shop status to management, planning machine loading and work distribution, mentoring machinists, and optimizing shop flow. Additional responsibilities include organizing tooling storage, preparing materials and tools in advance of production, collaborating with our Mastercam programmer, and providing machining time estimates when necessary. You will report directly to the General Manager and work closely with the Planning, Contracts, and Quality departments to achieve production and quality goals.

    Responsibilities

    + Plan, organize, and oversee production staff, materials, machinery, and methods to ensure a profitable and quality-focused machine shop operation.

    + Supervise CNC and conventional machinists to meet production goals.

    + Direct the setup and machining of complex aerospace parts on CNC Mills and Lathes.

    + Identify and implement opportunities to reduce machining cycle times, setup times, and improve overall quality.

    + Manage and order shop tools, fixtures, cutters, materials, and coordinate machine maintenance.

    + Train and mentor machinists in machine shop best practices.

    + Schedule, assign tasks, and report productivity metrics to management.

    + Promote a culture of quality and production excellence.

    + Provide accurate machining time estimates and monitor actual production times.

    + Ensure tooling, materials, and CNC programs are prepared and staged for production.

    + Provide regular shop status updates and participate in daily management meetings.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in CNC machinery operation and supervision.

    + Experience in mill and CNC machine shop environments.

    + Ability to plan and organize production processes.

    + Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with aerospace part machining.

    + Ability to collaborate with Mastercam programmers.

    + Strong problem-solving skills to optimize shop flow and reduce cycle times.

     

    Work Environment

     

    You will work in a true machine shop environment equipped with CNC Mill and Lathe machines, including 3, 4, and 5 axis machines.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Anaheim, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

     

    Company benefits will be provided by HR Dept upon time of interview/offer period

     

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in Anaheim,CA.
