Job Title: Warehouse Clerk

Job Description

This position involves working within the warehouse and procurement team, where you will be responsible for coordinating the procurement of goods and materials, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth and efficient warehouse operations. Initially offered as a 1-month contract, there is potential for extension, including the addition of a second shift.

Responsibilities

+ Manage inventory control and ensure accurate record-keeping using warehouse management systems, particularly Oracle EMM.

+ Utilize computers daily for data entry, email communication, and handling warehouse service inquiries.

+ Maintain proficiency in documentation, including creating paperwork and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.

+ Operate RF handheld scanners for data processing and inventory management.

+ Handle picking, loading, and unloading shipments efficiently.

+ Ensure general cleaning and maintenance, including disposal of trash and debris.

+ Create labels and manage ERP systems, including NetSuite, Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Excel, Teams, SAP, and Oracle.

+ Demonstrate strong attention to detail and auditing skills.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in forklift operation and warehouse management systems.

+ Strong computer skills, including Excel Spreadsheet creation and usage of Microsoft Suites, Outlook, SAP, and Oracle.

+ Experience in inventory management, cycle counting, and general construction.

+ Competence in computer data entry and RF scanner operation.

+ Order pulling and production experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum of 2 years in a warehouse environment, from various backgrounds such as manufacturing

+ Preferred 1-year experience in a lead or managerial role, although not required.

Work Environment

Join a historic steel, metal, and auto recycling company with over 100 years of operation. The Oakland site offers both indoor production areas and a large outdoor yard filled with heavy machinery, moving parts, and loud noises in a dusty environment. Dress code includes steel-toe shoes, pants, a plain t-shirt or sweater, and a provided vest. The morning shift starts at 7 am, with Saturday overtime available as needed, currently working two Saturdays a month.

This is a Contract position based out of Oakland, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
