    Job Title: Machine Helper

    Job Description

    Join our dynamic team as a Machine Helper, supporting the sanding department by learning to operate a corrugated machine and manage product packaging. This role involves performing operator duties, packaging, labeling materials, and maintaining cleanliness in your area. Candidates must work efficiently to produce and package products, learn labeling operations, and occasionally assist with shipping responsibilities.

    Responsibilities

    + Support the sanding department by learning to operate a corrugated machine.

    + Perform all operator duties, including packaging and labeling materials.

    + Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area.

    + Work at a fast pace to produce and package products.

    + Learn and execute labeling operations and shipping duties.

    + Use computers for inventory management and other tasks.

    + Perform repetitive lifting and pay attention to detail for department-specific roles.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-2 years experience in manufacturing.

    + 0-1 year experience in machine operation.

    + 1 year experience in packaging and packing.

    + Strong computer skills for inventory program management.

    + Excellent attendance record in previous roles.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with RF Scanner and machine operating is beneficial but not required.

    + Management skills and experience in assembly, production, and inventory management.

    Work Environment

     

    The plant is not climate controlled but features large fans for air circulation in summer and cooler conditions in winter with open dock doors. Work hours can start as early as 6 am, with some departments operating from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required until 4:30 or 5 pm to meet order demands.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PETERSBURG, Virginia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
