Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
As a General Production Worker, you will be responsible for reading job orders to determine machine settings and operating various equipment to cut sheets of paper or paperboard to specified dimensions. You will set computers for automated cuts or manually adjust trimmers, measure paper using the Quick skan machine, and align sheets for cutting. Additionally, you will press controls to operate shear blades, adjust guides, and reposition materials to meet specifications. You will change shear blades when necessary and maintain knowledge of all paper grades used in the production process.
Responsibilities
+ Read job orders to determine machine settings.
+ Set computers for automated cuts or manually adjust trimmers.
+ Measure paper using the Quick skan machine.
+ Align sheets against guides and clamp them to machine beds.
+ Operate controls to cut sheets with shear blades.
+ Adjust guides and reposition materials for trimming.
+ Change shear blades as needed.
+ Maintain knowledge of paper grades used.
+ Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and completely.
+ Perform regular oiling and greasing of machines.
+ Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in machine operation and inspection.
+ Ability to perform quality assurance tasks.
+ Skill in setting up machines and operating presses.
+ Experience in power shear tending and general labor.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Forklift driving experience preferred.
+ Experience in paper or plastic companies as an assistant or rewinder is beneficial.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Neenah, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.55 - $26.00/hr.
