Job Title: Production Assembler
Job Description
As a Production Assembler, you will utilize a variety of production tools to assemble components into completed or partially completed products or assemblies. You will be responsible for setting up work stations, organizing and stacking materials, and performing safe and efficient use of hand and power tools.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble various repetitive products, following specifications, work instructions, or blueprints.
+ Set up work stations for product moving from another production facility.
+ Use basic hand tools to perform setup of racking, organizing product, and stacking materials.
+ Safely and efficiently use hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, torque wrenches, drills, and hand pumps.
+ Follow established safety and environmental policies, procedures, and methods, including PPE requirements.
+ Track inbound inventory and maintain accurate records.
+ Participate in daily area clean-up and more significant facility clean-up efforts as assigned.
+ Accept reassignment to other departments as workload dictates.
+ Provide continuous training to all employees and perform other duties as necessary.
+ Stand in place for the full shift, performing highly repetitious assembly tasks.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in production, assembly, general labor, and mechanical assembly.
+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
+ Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions, work orders, procedures, prints, and short correspondence.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills with engineers, managers, and other associates.
+ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 6 - 12 months experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
+ Stable work experience with minimal gaps in employment history.
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment
You will work on the first shift with hours from 8:00am - 4:30pm on weekdays and every other Saturday 5:00am - 1:30pm. Be prepared for potential 10-hour shifts scheduled every other Saturday as well. The production floor is temperature-controlled and clean, with various work stations spaced throughout the facility. Safety glasses and steel toe footwear are required, and hearing protection may be needed in loud areas. Work attire includes clean work pants or jeans and polo or t-shirts without vulgar or profane images.
Job Type
This is a Contract to Hire position.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
