• Assembler - Switchboards and Panelboards

    Power-Flo Technologies (New Hyde Park, NY)


    Power-Flo Technologies is seeking an assembler to join our New Hyde Park shop. We design and build custom switchboards and panelboards for a variety of customers.

     

    Full Time, Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM.

     

    Pay Range: $18 - $22/hour

    Assembler Required Skills

    + Previous experience or training in a shop/industrial setting

    + Mechanically inclined

    + Familiar with taking measurements and working with a ruler

    + Familiar with assembling components

    + Able to follow instructions in a proper manner

    + Familiar with shop tools (hand tools, power tools, etc)

    + Valid and clean driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed

     

    Assembler Daily Tasks

     

    + Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project

    + Sourcing the materials to be used in the project

    + Measuring and cutting materials to specifications

    + Assembly of switchboard enclosures and interior electrical components

    + Preparing metal surfaces for finishing

    + Working with design team to complete switchgear packages

    + Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints

    + Preparing completed packages for shipment

     

    Assembler Physical Requirements

     

    + Ability to safely use and lift equipment weighing 50 lbs.

    + Ability to work standing up to 8 hours per day.

    + This position occasionally requires sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

    + Exposure to dust, loud noise, and temperature changes.

     

    Candidates must have a valid and clean NY State driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed.
