    Job Title: Welder

    Job Description

    Join a leading metal fabrication manufacturer that specializes in precision metal fabrication, short-run metal stamping, and tubular frame fabrication & assembly. As a Welder, you will contribute to the creation of casings for cable boxes, electrical panels, computer casings, and more.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform TIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and CRS parts.

    + MIG weld cold rolled steel.

    + Utilize grinding equipment in the cleaning process.

    + Follow blueprints or technical schematics to ensure accurate fabrication.

    + Operate handheld power tools such as air files and orbital sanders.

    + Keep track of part counts and log work into the computer system.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    + Ensure consistent and reliable transportation to and from the workplace.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 1 year of TIG welding experience.

    + Proficiency in stainless steel welding, sheet metal work, and aluminum.

    + Ability to read part prints and recognize weld symbols.

    + Experience in using and creating fixturing to achieve print dimensions.

    + Skill in using belt and DA sanders to finish and shape welds on contoured edges.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with grinding.

    + Must have own welding hood.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in an air-conditioned machine shop with approximately 20 employees, featuring two weld booths located in the back. Regular working hours are Monday to Thursday from 7 am to 4:30 pm and Friday from 7 am to 11 am.

    This is a Contract position based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
