    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to add to our growing team. This electrician will be responsible for reading and interpreting architectural and electrical construction drawings, preparing sketches, troubleshooting motors and motor controls, and installing various types of wiring and equipment. This role involves working on commercial and industrial projects, adhering to national codes and OSHA safety standards, and training apprentices.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project plans.

    + Troubleshoot motors, motor controls, motor control centers, magnetic motor starters, transformers, and other equipment.

    + Properly install electrical components and systems.

    + Pull and bend wire and conduit.

    + Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.

    + Observe the function of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.

    + Properly measure, lay out, bend, and thread all types of electrical conduit (EMT, galvanized rigid, IMC, PVC).

    + Interact with customers and adhere to OSHA safety standards.

    + Instruct and train apprentices.

    Skills and Qualifications

    + State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician

    + Valid Drivers License

    + Extensive experience in laying out and installing commercial and industrial wiring.

    + Minimum of 4 years of on-the-job training in addition to classroom training.

    + Electrical troubleshooting, installation, and repair skills.

    + Ability to work independently.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The position involves spending a large amount of time on construction sites, both commercial and industrial. You will be working in various weather conditions, ranging from dirty, dusty, and hot environments to cold and temperature-controlled facilities.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
