Job Title: Team Lead

Job Description

The Team Lead will oversee a team of 5-7 machine operators operating CNC machines and robotic cells, ensuring efficient production and adherence to company standards.

**Pay:** $18-$20hr

**Location:** Shelbyville, TN

Responsibilities

+ Oversee machine operators to ensure smooth operation of CNC machines and robotic cells.

+ Monitor and audit production line throughout the shift.

+ Coordinate employee breaks and ensure coverage during break times.

+ Perform hourly checks on gauges to maintain production standards.

+ Track hourly production output and ensure machines are running efficiently.

+ Perform basic mechanical adjustments and troubleshoot machine issues.

+ Determine when to call maintenance or CNC technicians for further troubleshooting.

+ Set tooling in the machine and ensure proper operation.

+ Enforce rules regarding cell phone usage and break times.

+ Attend hand-off meetings at the beginning and end of each shift.

Essential Skills

+ Leadership and directive skills.

+ Experience as a team lead, line lead, or supervisor.

+ Machine operation experience.

+ Basic mechanical aptitude.

+ High School Diploma or GED.

+ 1+ year of leadership experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Automotive experience preferred.

Work Environment

This position is set in a fast-paced automotive Tier 1 environment. The facility is not temperature controlled and has 9 production lines, with 6 supporting Nissan directly. Familiarity with automotive plants is advantageous but not required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
