    General Production Worker

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker with a focus on safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will perform various production operations, including operating machinery to process titanium revert and create blends for EB/Plasma melting. You will assist with maintenance, perform clean-up operations, and operate forklifts and other equipment to transport supplies and materials.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up, run, and troubleshoot machinery safely and efficiently.

    + Sort, clean, size, blend, and compact titanium revert, sponge, and master alloys.

    + Assist with machinery maintenance and repair.

    + Perform preventative checks and operate forklifts and other equipment.

    + Conduct facility clean-up operations.

    + Complete work assignments according to production requirements.

    + Become proficient with mobile computers and handle shop floor data accurately.

    + Train in fire prevention and firefighting techniques.

    + Communicate necessary information to relief employees.

    + Evaluate work area and equipment for safety at the beginning and end of shifts.

    + Adhere to safety policies and procedures.

    + Meet or exceed throughput and productivity requirements.

    + Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

    + Communicate safety, quality, or equipment concerns to supervisors.

    + Cross-train in other operations to support cellular manufacturing.

    + Train coworkers in tasks once proficient.

    + Participate in continuous improvement programs.

    + Identify opportunities to reduce yield loss and eliminate waste.

    + Conduct oneself professionally in a productive business environment.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to read a tape measure.

    + High school diploma or GED.

    + Focus on safety for self and others.

    + Forklift experience is advantageous.

    + Experience in heavy manufacturing is preferred.

    + Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Dependability and commitment to work responsibilities.

    + Quality-driven with attention to detail.

    + Ability to meet productivity standards.

    + High school graduate or equivalent required.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.30 - $25.30/hr.
