    Job Title: CNC Programmer and Operator

    Job Description

    As a CNC Programmer and Operator, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs for extrusion tooling solutions. This role includes programming CNC mills and wire EDM machines to ensure precision and efficiency in tooling production, reading and interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate cutting tools, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and optimize CNC programs for extrusion tooling solutions.

    + Program CNC mills and wire EDM machines.

    + Read and interpret technical drawings for accurate production.

    + Select appropriate cutting tools for manufacturing processes.

    + Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process to ensure precision and efficiency.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in CNC programming software (e.g., CAM systems, G-code).

    + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

    + Knowledge of CNC machining processes.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.

    + Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems.

    + Skills in PLC programming, CAD, and Autocad.

    + Understanding of Solidworks and manual machining.

    Work Environment

     

    Mechanics are expected to be proactive in decision-making and problem-solving to keep operations running smoothly. The maintenance team plays a crucial role and works independently. The dress code consists of long pants and a work shirt, with no specific uniform required. The manufacturing environment can be very hot, reaching up to 110 degrees, particularly in the summer. Work is performed in two buildings, located on Keyser Ave. and E Corey Street. Shifts are from 7-3:30 or 9-5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scranton, Pennsylvania.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
