    Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Assembler for the **2nd shift** to contribute to the assembly of truck caps. You will be responsible for fitting, feeling, and assembling fiberglass components, windows, and seal systems. Your role will involve reading and interpreting blueprints and SOPs, utilizing hand, power, and pneumatic tools, and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble truck caps using fiberglass components, windows, and seal systems.

    + Read and interpret blueprints and standard operating procedures.

    + Utilize hand, power, and pneumatic tools effectively.

    + Ensure precise fitting and assembly of components.

    + Maintain attention to detail throughout the assembly process.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in mechanical assembly, including machine or engine building and car or transmission work.

    + Ability to use torque wrenches, air tools, and power tools.

    + Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints and SOPs.

    + Strong attention to detail.

    + Capability to lift up to 30 pounds.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with PM Tech or mechanical skills is beneficial.

    + Requirement to wear steel or composite-toed shoes.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a dynamic fiberglass plant that is not climate-controlled and has a distinct paint smell. Although the facility has numerous fans, employees must wear steel or composite-toed shoes for safety. Units are painted prior to assembly, reducing exposure to fiberglass.

    This is a Contract position based out of **Elkhart, Indiana.**

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
