Job Title: Painter

Job Description

This position involves working in a fabrication shop where you will be responsible for painting and loading steel and metal components for various building products, including beams, trusses, and walls. You will work with prints and plans that require specific mixtures and calculations to determine the appropriate amount of paint for each process.

Responsibilities

+ Paint and load steel and metal products.

+ Interpret prints and plans to mix and apply paint accurately.

+ Use a Bulldog Airless and Electric Airless spray gun for industrial painting.

+ Apply different types of paint such as powder coat, wet, and dry.

+ Mix paint according to required ratios.

+ Use wet film and dry film mil gauges for precision.

+ Conduct sandblasting and blasting for surface preparation.

+ Utilize various attachments for paint spraying.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in painting metal, pipes, and steel plates.

+ 2-5 years of experience in applying different paint types.

+ Ability to mix paint accurately according to ratios.

+ Proficiency in using spray guns for industrial painting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to powder coat.

+ Experience in prepping and blasting metal surfaces.

+ Skill in using multiple attachments for spray painting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Birmingham, Alabama.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
