Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for utilizing a computer system and handling related documentation, filling liquids and powders into tanks, and ensuring accurate measurements using scales. You will also play a crucial role in selecting the appropriate tanks and raw materials based on manufacturing requirements, and operating a forklift to move products around the production floor.
Responsibilities
+ Fill and pack orders according to sales orders, ensuring accurate weight and proper labeling.
+ Follow GMP and safety guidelines and procedures.
+ Cross-train and assist in different departments as needed.
+ Retrieve raw materials from the warehouse to the compounding area.
+ Conduct cycle counting on raw materials.
+ Return unused raw materials to the warehouse.
+ Use ERP and handheld barcode scanners to manage inventory.
+ Operate a forklift for receiving and relocating products.
+ Stage and add materials to tanks according to work order instructions.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in a warehouse setting or logistics.
+ Proficiency in operating material handling equipment.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Prior experience in compounding, blending, or batching in a food or GMP environment.
+ Forklift operation certification.
+ Attention to detail in reviewing batch records.
+ Familiarity with ERP systems and barcode scanners.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Comfort with GMP environments, including wearing a full beard net and hair net.
+ Machine operation experience.
+ Knowledge of mixing, blending, and batching processes.
+ General labor and material handling experience.

Work Environment
You will work in a GMP food manufacturing environment where safety and quality standards are paramount. The role requires adherence to a specific dress code, including the use of a full beard net and hair net. The standard working hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NORTHBROOK, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
