Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

This position involves producing plastic sheet products using various extrusion machines according to customer specifications. Responsibilities include machine startup/shutdown, troubleshooting, quality control inspections, proper packaging, material handling, and training processes. The machine runs continuously for up to two weeks before cleaning or color changes. Candidates will monitor the machine, take measurements every two hours, and use a forklift to move pallets approximately every 45 minutes. Consistent monitoring of the machine's visual, auditory, and olfactory cues is required.

Responsibilities

+ Operate extrusion machines to produce plastic sheet products.

+ Perform startup and shutdown procedures.

+ Conduct troubleshooting and quality control inspections.

+ Handle packaging and material management.

+ Train and guide new processes.

+ Monitor machine operations and take measurements every two hours.

+ Use a forklift to move pallets every 45 minutes.

+ Ensure machine operations are visually, audibly, and olfactorily correct.

Essential Skills

+ 1-2 years of machine operating experience.

+ Ability to lift 40-50 lbs regularly.

+ Willingness to learn forklift operations if not already experienced.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $56160.00/yr.
