Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain various machinery including Marvel Saw, Punch Press, Hydraulic Press, and a tube bending machine specific to our industry. This role involves working with mild steel in a job shop environment, where you will be engaged in multiple runs and jobs, as well as programming directly at the machine.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate Marvel Saw, Punch Press, and Hydraulic Press.

+ Maintain and troubleshoot machinery to ensure optimal performance.

+ Operate a tube bending machine for manufacturing bike racks.

+ Work with mild steel in various fabrication tasks.

+ Program at the machine to execute specific job requirements.

Essential Skills

+ Proficient in using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.

+ At least 1 year of experience running a brake press.

+ Experience in fabrication and saw operation.

+ Ability to assemble components accurately.

+ Forklift operation skills.

+ Press brake operation experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ At least 1 year of experience running a saw.

+ Experience working with mild steel.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean and organized, with a facility that operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 3pm to 1:30am, working four 10-hour days. When fully staffed, the department includes 12 welders, contributing to a total of 75 employees including office staff. The 1st shift operates from 6am to 3pm, and all overtime is optional.

This is a Permanent position based out of Waunakee, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $50000.00/yr.

All OT is voluntary
