Job Description
The Machine Technician is responsible for the operation of CNC machines and supporting the Production Team by producing a variety of parts and fixtures, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the provided blueprints. This position involves interacting with robotic cells and communicating any faults to the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance Teams. The role primarily focuses on setting up machines such as Robotic Welders, Laser Cells, and General Automation Machines, while also performing preventive and routine maintenance.
Responsibilities
+ Operate and program automated machines.
+ Set up tooling, load programs, and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance and prepare parts for production.
+ Adjust cycles and settings for takt times compliance.
+ Consistently produce usable products that meet the dimensional specifications of the blueprints.
+ Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use.
+ Use computer systems to clock into jobs, and set up specifications and requirements.
+ Inspect finished products for quality, checking alignment with specifications, and making adjustments as needed.
+ Continuously monitor machine operation to ensure accurate product measurements.
+ Follow workflow processes and standard work instructions.
+ Document relevant required forms per Quality Management System as needed.
+ Perform preventive maintenance and routine machine maintenance.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with robotics and automation.
+ Proficiency in machine operation and setup, including robotic welding and laser technology.
+ Minimum of 2 years experience with Robotic Welders, Laser Cells, or General Automation Machines.
+ Troubleshooting and repair skills.
+ Fabrication skills.
+ Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
+ Experience with press brake and punch press.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate degree or technical certification in Automation, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field. Equivalent experience without a degree may be considered.

Work Environment
Flexible working hours with options for 1st shift (5-8s, typically starting around 5-6am) or 2nd shift (Monday – Thursday 3:30pm to 2:00am, 10-hour shifts with no overtime). Option to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays if desired. Fridays usually require 4-5 hours of mandatory overtime. Anticipate a new facility this year, offering an enhanced work environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Beloit, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
401k - 3% match

$5 premium for 2nd shift
3-5% annual raises

As we are a Hendrick company, we have great benefits, costs are lower, and only a $500 deductible for insurance. We also pay weekly.
The Tuition is $5000 per year with passing grades.
