Position: Inventory Clerk
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable **Inventory Clerk** to support inventory tracking and small equipment maintenance on our active construction site. This entry-level role involves managing truss driver parts, materials, and tools, maintaining accurate records, and handling documentation such as **Packing Slips** , **POLs (Purchase Order Logs)** , and **BOLs (Bills of Lading)** . The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Receive, verify, and organize incoming shipments using packing slips, POLs, and BOLs.
+ Ensure documentation matches deliveries; report discrepancies to the Nextracker Construction Manager.
+ Track inventory movement and maintain logs for parts, tools, materials, and consumables.
+ Tag and label inventory items appropriately.
+ Rebuild and organize drill bits used for site drilling.
+ Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on hand tools and small power tools.
+ Maintain clean and organized inventory areas (tool cribs, laydown yards, storage containers).
+ Issue tools and materials to site mechanics; log usage and returns.
+ Use basic computer applications (e.g., Excel) for data entry and digital inventory tracking.
+ Assist with loading/unloading Nextracker deliveries and organizing materials.
+ Communicate proactively with the site CM to anticipate needs and prevent shortages.
+ Follow all safety regulations, including PPE and handling procedures.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
+ Entry-level mechanical or maintenance aptitude is a plus.
+ Ability to read and interpret packing slips, BOLs, and purchase orders.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and basic data entry skills.
+ Strong verbal and written communication.
+ Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
+ Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor conditions.
+ Prior experience on a construction site or warehouse is a bonus.
+ Forklift certification is a plus.
Working Conditions
+ Active construction site, primarily outdoors.
+ Physically demanding tasks including walking, bending, and lifting.
+ Exposure to weather, dust, and standard construction site conditions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
