Job Title: Metal Sorter

**Description:** We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Metal Sorter to join our recycling operations team. The Metal Sorter will be responsible for identifying, sorting, and preparing various metal alloys for processing, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Identify and sort ferrous and non-ferrous metals using visual inspection, magnets, and handheld analyzers (e.g., XRF).

+ Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.

+ Maintain accurate records of sorted materials and report discrepancies.

+ Ensure proper labeling and storage of sorted metals.

+ Assist in loading/unloading shipments and preparing materials for processing.

+ Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

+ Collaborate with quality control and warehouse teams to ensure sorting accuracy.

Qualifications:

+ Prior experience in metal sorting and recycling preferred, but not required.

+ Ability to distinguish between different metal types and grades.

+ Minimum 2 years of experience working around metals in a manufacturing or production setting required.

+ Familiarity with metal identification tools (e.g., magnets, analyzers) preferred, but not quired.

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.

+ Forklift certification is a plus.

Work Environment:

+ Industrial warehouse setting with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

+ Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.

Pay and Shift:

+ This position is on the 1st shift starting at 6:30am

+ This position is paying in the range of $20-25/hr

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
