Job Title: Utility Laborer

Job Description

The Utility Laborer will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe handling of aluminum products post-extrusion. Reporting to the Extrusion Supervisor, you will be responsible for tending the lines, racking, packing, and moving bins using a forklift when necessary.

SHIFT: 6AM - 6PM (MANDATORY WEEKENDS WHEN NEEDED)

Responsibilities

+ Safely handle aluminum products post-extrusion.

+ Tend to production lines, ensuring smooth operation.

+ Rack, pack, and move bins using a sit-down forklift as needed.

+ Utilize hand tools effectively in daily operations.

+ Read and measure accurately using a tape measure.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in manufacturing or production settings.

+ Comfortable with heavy labor tasks.

+ Ability to read and measure accurately using a tape measure.

+ Proficiency in operating a sit-down forklift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with general labor tasks.

+ Familiarity with packing processes.

Work Environment

Work as part of the night shift crew on a rotating schedule from 6am to 6pm. Expect frequent overtime opportunities. Responsibilities are carried out in both indoor settings and the plant, which is an unregulated environment with extreme temperatures and high noise levels. Dress code includes steel toe boots, long pants, a hard hat, glasses, and ear plugs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pennsauken Township, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
