    *D.R. Horton, Inc.*is currently looking for a*_Region Paralegal_*. The right candidate will support the Region Counsel in managing responsibilities of Legal Department.

    *Essential Duties and Responsibilities*include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    * Assist the Region Counsel in managing regional litigation. Prepare and maintain database of Region litigation matters; update daily

    * Manage the litigation calendar and litigation case files

    * Under the guidance of Region Counsel, review marketing programs and materials to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

    * Prepare and maintain contractor’s licenses and real estate licenses for division offices

    * Prepare and maintain lease database for regional and division offices

    * Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

    * Ability to work overtime

    * Ability to travel overnight

    * Assist the Region Counsel with special projects, responding to discovery requests, and addressing homeowner and warranty requests

    * Process Fictitious Business Name Statements for division offices on an as-needed basis

    *Required Qualifications*

    * Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or six or more years of related experience and/or training

    * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications

    * Proficiency with MS Office and email

    * Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision

    * The noise level is generally moderate

    * Strong communication skills

    * Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
