Position Overview:

Term: 6-8 weeks w/potential for extension

Pay: $40-45/hr

Hours: 8-5pm EST

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support a short-term project focused on data discovery and stakeholder engagement. This role will work directly with a senior consultant and involve attending meetings (remote or on-site), capturing notes, and performing light data analysis.

What you’ll do as the Business Analyst :

+ Attend and document stakeholder meetings

+ Pull and query data from various source systems using SQL

+ Perform basic data profiling (e.g., frequency counts, field population rates)

+ Translate technical findings into clear business language

+ Support discovery of data ingestion processes, ETL flows, and reporting practices

+ Prepare summaries and findings in Excel or similar tools

What you will bring to the team:

+ 2+ years of experience in business or data analysis (2-5 years)

+ Basic SQL skills and comfort working with data sets

+ Understanding of data pipelines, ingestion, and reporting fundamentals

+ Strong communication and organizational skills

+ Ability to bridge technical findings with business context
