    Job Opportunity: Proxy Support Agent (Remote)

     

    Join a dynamic team supporting shareholder communications for public companies during the Fall Proxy season! This seasonal project plays a vital role in helping companies manage their annual meetings and voting processes.

    About the Role

    As a Proxy Support Agent, you’ll assist shareholders by providing information, collecting votes, and ensuring secure and accurate communication. You’ll be part of the National Campaigns Unit, supporting internal clients like Computershare and Georgeson.

     

    • Key Responsibilities

    + Handle inbound and outbound calls and email responses from shareholders.

    + Guide shareholders through voting processes (online, phone, mail).

    + Clarify ballot items such as board elections, executive compensation, mergers, and governance proposals.

    + Assist with requests for proxy statements and vote updates.

    + Support the organization and execution of Board of Directors meetings (virtual, in-person, or hybrid).

    + Maintain professionalism and accuracy while reading scripts and documenting calls.

    Topics You’ll Help Shareholders Understand

    + Board Elections – Elect or re-elect company board members.

    + Executive Compensation – Approve or disapprove executive pay.

    + Mergers & Acquisitions – Vote on major corporate changes.

    + Governance Proposals – Topics like environmental policies or diversity initiatives.

    + Auditor Ratification – Approve the company’s external auditor.

    • Required Skills & Experience

    + Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in a contact center.

    + At least 6 months of outbound calling experience within the last 2 years.

    + Strong persuasion skills to encourage shareholder participation (not a sales role).

    + Clear, professional speaking voice and ability to read scripts verbatim.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams) and multitasking across dual monitors.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and handle irate callers calmly.

    Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED required.

    Equipment Requirements

    + Laptop provided (Dell via TEKsystems).

    + Must provide a physical address for equipment delivery (no PO Boxes).

    + Must have:

    + Own USB headset and second monitor.

    + Ability to hard-wire into internet if needed.

    + Internet speed of at least 50 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
