Description

The Systems Manager is accountable for the maintenance, accessibility, support, and security of non-SAP corporate servers and systems in all environments. This position is also responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of server/system solutions that meet the business requirements and maintains high availability that include on-premises as well as some cloud environments (AWS). This role will monitor the environment, troubleshoot when necessary and provide status on a regular basis as well as alert the appropriate personnel with potential issues or problem. They are mostly a Window shop but they a lot of their VM's are in Linux and they are looking at converting some of those to AWS. AWS would be very beneficial for this person. They are wanting someone that is security minded. There is also metrics tracking and their would be an opportunity for someone to come in and offer input as to what tools they can use to better track metrics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain, administer, and provide technical support of corporate servers and systems (physical and virtual environments that are on premises & in an AWS Cloud)

Develop and maintain appropriate storage architecture to meet business needs

Administer and maintain corporate email system (O365 – hosted)

Implement and maintain appropriate monitoring tools

Ensure security protocols are in place, e.g., IPS, IDS, virus scanning, encryption, etc.

Manage user access

Maintain and manage all appropriate licensing

Ensure appropriate disaster recovery processes and procedures are in place and followed

Design and implement a business appropriate server/system ecosystem

Manage obsolescence and track inventory

Develop and maintain key performance indicators

Maintain technical documentation to include appropriate system mapping

Recommend changes where appropriate

Maintain alignment of IT processes with business objectives

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide training for users when necessary

Vendor/partner coordination, collaboration, and management

Occasional travel may be required

Other tasks may be assigned

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr.
