Summary: The Electrical Quality Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the high standards of our machines by identifying and addressing quality issues and collaborating with production and engineering teams to ensure products meets specifications.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM DUTIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for performing final test and adjustments to ultrasonic cleaning systems verifying proper operation prior to shipment.
2. Collect data and verify products meet engineering design intent and customer expectations as well as established company quality standards.
3. Troubleshooting and repair down to the electronic component level, including chip replacement on circuit boards.
4. Verify all Ultrasonics fall within -20% to +10% power output requirements prior to passing checkout. (Power outputs not conforming within these parameters will require sign-from the Project Manager before approval to ship.)
5. Thoroughly inspect products for any non-conformities such as dents, scratches, and overall appearance prior to sign-off. Also ensure all products are dimensionally correct. The Electrical Quality Technician is the last time of quality control of outgoing products, so thorough inspection is imperative to ensure we fully meet or exceed our customers' expectations.
6. Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have the ability to read and understand oscilloscopes and volt/multi-meters; mechanical understanding of PLC controlled automation, pneumatics, plumbing, and electrical systems; must be able to read and work from electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic schematics; and must be able to read and understand technical specifications.
Education and/or Experience: Associate degree in Electronics or 2-3 years of working experience. Must have working knowledge of computers, databases, common software programs, and be able to learn to use and adapt to new software programs.
Language Skills: Communicate verbally and/or in writing with other employees, other departments, and supervision at all levels within the company as to ork on progress, problems, and/or completion. Must be able to speak with customers to help troubleshoot their equipment.
Mathematical Skills: Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide basic numbers and basic algebra. Calculate percentages and be able to perform advanced mathematical procedures. Prepare charts and graphs for presentation.
Reasoning Ability: Be able to identify work process problems and possible solutions.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Driver's license and passport eligibility.
Physical Demands: Sit at workstation for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to adjust visual focus. May be required to reach, stoop, and/or bend on an as needed basis. Must be able to climb stairs as necessary. Must be able to lift 50 pounds consistently. Occasional travel may be necessary.
Work Environment: Most time on the job will be spent on or near the manufacturing floor. Regulated temperature and moderate noise level.
