    We're looking for a **Senior Software Engineer - Security for Copilot.** Security Copilot is a generative AI-powered security solution that helps increase the efficiency and capabilities of defenders to improve security outcomes at machine speed and scale. Security Copilot provides a natural language, assistive copilot experience. Security Copilot helps support security professionals in various end-to-end scenarios such as incident response, threat hunting, intelligence gathering, posture management, and more.     Responsibilities

    + Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to support various software features and data-related workflows.

    + Work closely with senior engineers to develop and improve product features. Participate in testing and validating new features, including assisting with experiments and analyzing results.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research, product, and partner engineering groups.

    Qualifications

    Required/minumum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + Understanding of programming fundamentals and experience with one or more languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, etc.).

    + Ability to communicate skills with a willingness to learn from feedback and collaborate with others.

    Other Requirements:

    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

     

    Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
