The Enterprise Partner team drives Microsoft’s commercial partner business, focused on building and selling Microsoft Commercial Cloud solutions with and through partners to empower people and organizations.
As a **Partner Solution Architect (PSA) Manager** for independent software vendors (ISVs) in the Microsoft CTO group of the Industry and Partner Solutions (IPS) organization, you will lead a team of Cloud Solution Architects (PSAs) who are responsible for building profitable and scalable IP solutions that significantly grow global revenue of Microsoft’s most strategic ISV partners. Your team will shape and execute technical strategies and engagements that drive innovation, scale, and customer impact through Microsoft’s Cloud, AI and Security platform with partners at the core.
You will play a pivotal role in enabling ISVs to build differentiated, scalable, and transactable IP solutions aligned to Microsoft solution plays and industry priorities, especially in areas like AI, data, and multi-cloud modernization.
You will also play a critical leadership role in driving excellence across the people agenda, cultivating a high-performance culture, enhancing "Tech intensity" through continuous learning and empowering innovation. As a transformative leader, responsible for driving our partners' solutions delivery success, you will lead a team of PSAs, providing strategic guidance and valuable insights into how our partners can efficiently evolve their business solution portfolio using Microsoft technologies across solution areas. You will model, coach, and care for your team. You will bring credibility through deep technical expertise applied across solution areas and the partner ecosystem. You will nurture a top-tier team through robust hiring practices, talent retention strategies, coaching, and mentoring to deliver performance excellence.

Responsibilities
Business Impact
+ Holds team accountable for driving operational excellence and proven practice standards throughout all sales stages/activities/tools of record (e.g., pipeline updates, time tracking).
+ Drives team on orchestrating, collaborating, and influencing across Microsoft and customer/partner teams and leadership through on-strategy delivery to achieve customer/partner objectives and increase customer/partner satisfaction.
+ Holds team accountable for anticipating and managing business and technical risks, adapting methodology and applying governance principles as necessary to identify, communicate, and mitigate those risks.
+ Executes work in compliance with industry and Microsoft guidelines.
+ Oversees continuous prioritization among competing demands in the team’s work and identifies where impact occurs with customers, ensuring alignment with business priorities and goals.
1. **Deliver Results Through Collaboration**
+ Act as a trusted advisor and technical subject matter expert to partners’ Technical Decision Makers (TDMs), including CxOs.
+ Drive the execution of Microsoft’s priorities by developing and executing a clear team strategy that enables partner success, removes technical blockers, and champions innovation.
+ Foster collaborative relationships with partners to align objectives and maximize the impact of Microsoft solutions.
Partner** **Engagement
+ Guide ISVs in developing scalable, repeatable, and transactable solutions on the Microsoft Cloud & AI platform, including AI Business Solutions and Security.
+ Ensure technical readiness and alignment with Global PTSs Technology roadmap Plans, co-sell and marketplace motions, supporting MACC eligibility and LIFTR onboarding. Acting as a trusted advisor and technical subject matter expert to partners' Technical Decision Makers, including leadership.
+ Drive the execution of company priorities by developing and delivering clear technical engagements such as envisioning sessions, architecture design reviews, and proofs of concept. Your leadership will empower your team to facilitate partner success, address technical blockers for technology adoption, foster innovation, and build collaborative relationships that align partnership objectives and optimize the use of Microsoft solutions.
+ By leveraging your deep technical expertise in IP solutions and services development, provide valuable insights to partners, maintain credibility, stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and consult on partners' strategic alignment with Microsoft’s technology priorities and readiness to address solution gaps.
Customer Centricity
+ Lead customer-centric initiatives by resolving issues through cross-functional collaboration, championing seamless experiences, and defining success based on deep understanding of customer goals. Oversee proactive engagement to address dissatisfaction, improve value realization, and accelerate transformation.
+ Guides the team in representing the voice of the customer, turning feedback into actionable insights that shape product direction.
+ Drive strategic analysis across industries and presents compelling business cases and architectures to influence product roadmaps and decision-making **.**
Technical Expertise
+ Draw on deep experience in IP solutions and services development to deliver valuable insights and build credibility with partners.
+ By staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, drive continuous innovation in partner solutions.
+ Provide strategic consultation to ensure alignment with Microsoft’s technology priorities and assess partners’ readiness to close solution gaps.
+ Collaboration
+ Microsoft internal collaboration is also at the heart of this position. You will work closely with Partner Technology Strategists in the Global Tech Team, Partner Development Managers across IPS Global ISV and AI Partner Catalyst teams, as well as Engineering and field sellers, to fuel the success of co-developed solutions and drive Azure consumption.
+ Be responsible for tracking and reporting on key performance indicators, such as transformative ISV solutions that are co-built and released to market, customer wins, and third-party solution activation.
+ Support team in building and expanding impactful relationships with customers and partner architects, C-level technical decision makers, and business stakeholders, particularly for large and high-impact customers or partners.
Technical Leadership
+ Champions a learning-driven culture by guiding the team in using market signals to identify upskilling needs, model technical readiness across solution areas and corporate priorities, and mentor others through knowledge sharing.
+ Leads strategic identification of delivery gaps to influence product, process, and IP improvements at scale.
+ Drives innovation and thought leadership across customer, partner, and internal communities, shaping frameworks and methodologies.
+ Influences cross-boundary technical engagement to grow organizational impact, represent Microsoft solutions as a recognized expert, and initiate brand-elevating events and IP development—especially in emerging areas like AI and CoPilot.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 10+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
+ 5+ years people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, technical architect managers, and/or people managers.
Additional or preferred qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 15+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 12+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
+ 8+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
+ 8+ years experience leading technical projects, teams, or functions.
+ Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).
+ 8+ years people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, technical architect managers, and/or people managers.
Cloud Solution Architecture M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $155,800 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $202,400 - $303,600 per year.
